Allisha Wilson
I got involved in the PTO because giving back to the community is an important part of who I am. My husband is a U.S. Navy veteran, together we have a wonderful 9-year-old daughter. I wanted to be actively involved in making her school—and our community—the best it can be.
For more than 17 years, I've worked as a regulatory compliance attorney, and I've spent years volunteering in roles that support children and families, including coaching youth basketball, leading the Shining Stars adaptive sports program for children with special needs, and serving on community committees.
I joined the PTO because I believe it's about much more than fundraising. It's about creating meaningful opportunities for our students, supporting our teachers, bringing families together, and building a stronger school community for our next generation.

Mom to a beautiful, smart and talented 9-year-old. We love our movie nights, Mystic getaways, camping and new adventures but our favorite place is Disney World! Being a mom is the best job in the world, but I am also the Director of Human Resources for a behavioral health organization where I have worked for almost 15 years.
Recently, I wanted to find a way to be more active in the community. Participate, give back, volunteer and meet new people. Joining the PTO provided all these opportunities while also being able to support the schools.
My family has lived in Dighton since the 1970’s. I went to DES. Much of my family including my mother, sisters and cousins were a part of the Dighton school district; and now my daughter. Being a part of the PTO allows me to volunteer and give back to the community that I love, a value that I hold deeply and hope to instill in my daughter.

I joined the PTO because I want to be more involved in my children’s school and give back to the community that supports them.
I believe being part of the PTO is a great way to make a positive difference, help create fun and memorable experiences for the students, and support our teachers and our school.
Most importantly, I want my children to see the importance of getting involved, giving back, and being part of their community.
I joined the PTO in 2025 when my son began Kindergarten. I was excited to get involved with my son’s school, help out with the many events that the PTO sponsors, and support the wonderful community we have at DES & DMS.
I am the Executive Director of a Rhode Island based 501(c)(3) youth theater organization. I am passionate about the arts and providing opportunities for children to experience and thrive!
As a mom of 3 who will be attending DR schools over the next 18 years, I am thrilled to be an integral part of supporting our schools!
